Competition Rules

Little League (U12) and up compete within the Greater Brisbane League (GBL) competition, this competition includes clubs as far south as Mudgeeraba Redsox, as far west as Toowoomba Rangers and as far north as Narangba Demons depending on the specific age group and/or division.

T-Ball

Ages: 5-8

Modified baseball for juniors, no pitching, hitting off a stationary tee.

We aim to host an in-house competition at Tivoli Sporting Complex of a Friday afternoon, however, if we don’t get the numbers for that, we play against Ipswich Softball Association on Saturday mornings!

Little League Minors Machine Pitch (previously Rookie Ball)

Ages: 8-10

Little League

Little League Majors: 2hrs or 6 innings
Little League Minors Player Pitch: 1hr 45m or 6 innings
Little League Minors 40/46: 1h 30m or 6 innings

Ages: 11-13
Game day: Saturdays
Game length: 2hrs or 7 innings (whichever comes first)

Intermediate League is a bridging age group to introduce new rules that are present from Junior League onwards.

Junior League

Ages: 12-14
Game day: Saturdays
Game length: 2hrs or 7 innings (Whichever comes first)

Last season, Ipswich combined with Western Districts to field a Division 1 Junior League team who competed against:

Senior League

Ages: 14-16
Game day: Saturdays
Game length: 2hrs or 7 innings (Whichever comes first)

  • As far south as Beenleigh Hawks, as far East as Redlands Rays and as far north as Narangba Demons. Depends on team entries per season.

Big League

Ages: 16-20
Game day: Saturdays
Game length: 2hrs or 9 innings (Whichever comes first)

Participating clubs:

  • As far south as Mudgeeraba Redsox, as far East as Redlands Rays and as far north as Narangba Demons. Depends on team entries per season.

Adult Seniors

Ages: 15+
Game day: Sundays
Game length:
Division 1, 2: 2.5hrs or 9 innings
Divisions 3 and below: 2hrs or 9 innings

Women’s

Ages: 14+ (Division 1 Women’s 15+)
Game day: Saturdays

Division 1: 2hrs or 9 innings (ages 15+)
Division 2: 2hrs or 7 innings (ages 14+)
Division 3: 1.5hrs or 7 innings (ages 14+)

Masters

Ages: 35+
Game day: Monday nights
Game length:
Single Game: 2hrs or 9 innings
